THE PARTIES HEREIN AGREES AS FOLLOWS:
1) Cancellation Fees
- Cancellation is free of charge if made five days prior to the 1st visit.
- Please note that a 50% charge of your total bill will be applied if you cancel within five days of your 1st scheduled visit.
- Refunds are not available for cancellations made within one business day of the first scheduled visit.
Reservation Policy for Major Holidays
- For any major holiday—such as New Year's Eve/Day, Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Eve/Day—once a reservation is made, it is considered non-refundable and must be paid in advance.
2) Additional Supplies
If any additional supplies are needed, there will be a $25.00 charge, plus the cost of supplies.
3) Service and Care
By agreeing to this contract, Just Four Paws is authorized to perform the services and care specified herein. In case of an emergency, the company is authorized to obtain veterinary care with no responsibility for transportation or treatment expenses. If the designated veterinarian is unavailable, Just Four Paws may authorize medical or emergency treatment (except euthanasia) as recommended by a veterinarian. The client must cover all costs incurred by Just Four Paws, as well as any additional expenses related to household, food, or supply requirements.
4) Weather
During times of inclement weather or natural disasters, Just Four Paws will utilize their best judgement in taking care of your pets and home. Please note that Just Four Paws will not be held liable for any issues that may arise as a result of these decisions.
5) Committed to Service
Just Four Paws commits to providing top-quality, reliable, caring, and trustworthy services as outlines in this agreement. As a result of these services, the client explicitly waives and relinquishes all claims against Just Four Paws, except those attributable to gross negligence or willful misconduct on the part of Just Four Paws.
6) Payment and Fees
By signing this contract, the client acknowledges that it also serves as an invoice and agrees to pay the fees promptly on the first day of service, excluding holidays. Payment is due at the time of service, and the client will be responsible for a $30 handling fee in the event of a returned check. Failure to pay may result in legal action and the client will be held accountable for any attorney's fees and collection costs incurred. Delinquent accounts will be assessed interest at a rate of 18% per annum. Should it become necessary to place a delinquent account with a collection agency, a collection fee of up to 50% of the principle balance due will be added to defray the cost of collection. Please note that in any of these events, a credit report may be pulled.
7) Emergencies or Illness of Pet Sitter
At Just Four Paws, we understand that unexpected personal emergencies or illnesses can happen to anyone, even our pet sitters. In such cases, we will pack the authorization of the client to engage another qualified person to fulfill the responsibilities mentioned in the contract. We value transparency, so we will keep the client informed about the situation.
Additionally, if our Pet Sitter is injured, bitten or exposed to any disease, ailment, or injury related to the Client's animal or premises, the Client will be responsible for any related costs and damaged incurred by the Pet Sitter. At Just Four Paws, we prioritize the safety of all parties involved.
8) Medication for Pets
By endorsing this agreement, the Client is consenting to the Pet Sitter's administration of any prescribed medication to the Pet in question. In the event that the Client is not readily available, the Pet Sitter is authorized to contact a veterinary professional for any questions regarding the medication.
9) Termination Policy
Just Four Paws maintains the right to terminate any pet care contract prior to or during its term if it is determined that the pet poses a risk to the safety or health of the pet sitter. In such case, the pet sitter will not be allowed to care for the pet. If this occurs, the client authorized the pet to be placed in a kennel, and all expenses incurred will be charged to the client.
